Welcome to the Vape Summit IV, Houston CRAFT VAPERY

E-Liquid Awards entry submission page!

We are privileged to continue our partnership with CRAFT VAPERY as our host and sponsor of our Vape Summit E-Liquid Awards.  As they have have been so gracious to take on the tremendous feat of sampling and tasting the amazing selections available at previous shows, they continue to assist us in finding the best of the best E-Liquids on the market.

In order to facilitate a more transparent and efficient process, the awards process is transitioning to a “blind” taste test format, and expanding to a total of five (5) judges for a more diverse panel of taste buds.  Included with each exhibitor space is a free entry submission for each 10×10 of space occupied, with a maximum of three (3) total entry submissions for each 10×10 space as well.  After the first free entry submission, additional entries may be submitted for $50 each, so that the costs of process can be offset.

Here’s how it works:

1. To enter your E-Liquid, submit an online entry via the form button near the top or bottom of this page, or just click here.

2. Priority ship your E-Liquid(s) in its standard branding and packaging to the following address so that we RECEIVE IT NO LATER THAN Saturday, October 3rd, 2015:

Arman Espinosa
ATTN: The Vape Summit

Houston, TX 77042

3. One of our proctors will receive your E-liquid, take a picture of it’s branding and packaging, and then transfer the E-Liquid into a generic bottle.

4. From your form submission, the proctor will note the category (or categories for multiple entries) and label your E-Liquid with the appropriate category, unique number, and nicotine strength.

5. Five (5) Judges will spend three days sampling and tasting all the amazing entries we have received, and emerge with a winner for each of the following categories:

  1. Judging and Award Selection

During the judging period (October 4, 2015 – October 7, 2015) Each entry will be blindly sampled by our panel of 5 judges. Each sample will be tested in a standardized tank of CRAFT VAPERY, INc.’s choosing to ensure that all flavors are tried in the same conditions. The test tank will have an approximate resistance of 0.4ohm. Each judge will submit a numerical score on a scale of 0-10 for each sample judged. Judges scores are considered final and unchangeable once they have been submitted. Judges are unaware of each others scores until after all scores are submitted.

Scores are averaged across all 5 judges individual scores to create a weighted average score. Scores are then grouped by primary flavor category. The highest numerical winner in each category is named the Best of Show award winner for that category. In the event of a tie, judges are then allowed to review branding and packaging as well as re-sample the flavor. Judges then revote on only tied entrants to determine a final winner for each category.

To determine a Best in Show overall, the winners of the 16 Best of Show categories are each entered into the final determination for Best in Show Overall. Judges vote in successive rounds of voting until a clear winner is deciced.

On or about October 10, 2015, the Sponsor will have determined all category and Best in Show overall winners based on the judges votes. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner via in person visit to their booth, telephone or email on or about October 10, 2015.

  1. Winner Notification

The potential winners will be notified either in person at the Vape Summit show or alternatively by email, mail or phone. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements.
